HEART is a non-profit organization based out of Spokane, Washington.
Created in 2003, HEART (Humane Evacuation Animal Rescue Team) is a group of community members joined together to form both a local and national emergency animal response team.
HEART was created to coordinate efforts with Spokane County Region Animal Protection Services and the Red Cross to provide rapid response to events affecting the health, safety and welfare of human beings and animals.

Mission Statement
The purpose of H.E.A.R.T. is to coordinate efforts to provide rapid response to events affecting the health, safety, and welfare of human beings and animals. Activities include but are not limited to small and large animal care, facility usage, and providing mass care and sheltering for companion animals, livestock, wildlife, and exotic animals following a major emergency or disaster.

When We Meet
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm unless otherwise noted.
Training Sessions are often held outside of meeting times.
